SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday that the remainder of the 2019-20 season has been cancelled, due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic.
This includes the rest of the NOJHL playoffs, the Dudley-Hewitt Cup Central Region event and the Centennial Cup, Canadian National Jr. A Championship.
“The NOJHL fully supports the decision made by Hockey Canada and the Canadian Junior Hockey League to cancel the remainder of the season,” stated NOJHL commissioner Robert Mazzuca.
“We remain fully committed to the health and safety of our players, on and off-ice officials, staffs, volunteers, dedicated fans and the general public, and will maintain doing so as the world continues to deal with this global crisis,” added Mazzuca.
