SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League is mourning the loss of one of its own following the passing of Quinn Robelle at just 23 years of age.
Robelle passed away peacefully Thursday following a courageous battle with health issues.
He spent two seasons in the NOJHL while suiting up on defence for the French River Rapids, Elliot Lake Wildcats and Cochrane Crunch from 2015 through 2017.
Widely respected by his teammates and throughout the league, Robelle donned the captains ‘C’ with French River in 2015-16 and was an assistant the following campaign during his time in Elliot Lake.
After wrapping up his time in the NOJHL with Cochrane, he went on to play NCAA Division III hockey at Becker College in Massachusetts.
The NOJHL sends its deepest condolences to Quinn’s family, friends and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him during his all too brief time with us.
