NOJHL names its BrokerLink Insurance 3 Stars of the Week

SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (NOJHL) announced Monday that the forward trio of Lucas Signoretti (Greater Sudbury Cubs); Owen King (Blind River Beavers) and Nate Dugwell (Elliot Lake Vikings) have been named its BrokerLink Insurance 3 Stars of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 15.

Lucas Signoretti, (F) Greater Sudbury Cubs: Another productive week for Signoretti, saw him score six times and assist on two others in a pair of victories, which helped Greater Sudbury extend a winning streak to 12 in succession.

For the 20-year-old Kanata, Ont., product, five of his goals came in a home ice triumph over French River for his ninth multi-marker performance so far this season.

With points in nine straight outings, Signoretti leads the entire NOJHL in goals (33), points (63), man-advantage assists (17) & points (25), as well as game-winning tallies (8).

Owen King, (F) Blind River Beavers: Back-to-back two-tally outings for King helped Blind River skate to a pair of home ice victories over the weekend, giving him multiple markers in four consecutive contests and goals in five straight.

The 18-year-old from Cambridge, Ont., notched the game-winner in both of those games.

Sitting third in the NOJHL in tallies with 24, King is tied for ninth in overall offensive numbers with 35 points in 29 match-ups.

Nate Dugwell, (F) Elliot Lake Vikings: Having yet to play a home game in Elliot Lake, due to the ongoing repairs to Centennial Arena, Dugwell has still contributed to the club being competitive.

Hailing from Scarborough, Ont., the 19-year-old collected five points in two appearances for the Vikings during the time frame, scoring once in a narrow setback against league-leading Greater Sudbury, then achieve a career single-game-best four points in a triumph over the Soo Thunderbirds.

Dugwell enters the new week tied for the Elliot Lake team scoring lead with 21 points, on eight goals and 13 assists, in 25 contests.
